British Schools, Al Khobar, Saudi

There are two British secondary and 6th form schools available in Al Khobar and they are are both good and have been established for many years.

The British Grammar School/ISG shares a campus and some good facilities with an American school. The British school has just been rebuilt so has a great new building. It does a good range of GCSEs and for 6th form offers an International Baccalaureate - more academic than A levels but wider range of subjects and community projects.

BISAK - British International school offers traditional GCSEs and for 6th Form offers A levels. Again very good facilities and in a  couple of years will be moved to even more modern facilities.

Sunset Resort, Al Khobar Saudi

One of the challenges in Saudi is finding a beach where ladies can swim in a normal swimming costume. Sunset Resort is such a place on FRIDAYS(10am - 6pm, cost 250SAR Adults 150m SAR Child) 

The Beach is great and as a bonus there is a separate swimming pool with loads of slides for the small and not so small kids!

You can actually become a member at the resort for a cheap £5000 per couple! Then these times apply:

OR you could rent a villa and live here (unfortunately its 10 times the cost of a normal Saudi Expat villa); You would be in good company as one of the Saudi Princes lives here and has his own private beach, he even has his office here! 

FACT FILE: The religious police are not allowed in Sunset Resort, so dress rules and etiquette are more relaxed.

Restaurants - for members only, prices are reasonable
